About Us/ The story behind the RaceDAC/ News:
RaceDAC-project leader is Juha Puroaho. A track day hobbyist from Turku, Finland:
"
February 2011
I had been waiting a couple of years for a datalogger/ data acquisition module for RaceChrono.
There had been many different projects on the way, but none of them seemed to
finish. I.e. there was not any suitable equipment on the markets to buy.
I had been working many years with mobilephone software research and development,
so all kinds of mobile related sw and hw issues were very familiar to me.
And I decided to find out if I could make it happen.
It was either or, not going to be any fading project.
March 2011
After doing some research on the matter, and sending inquiries to different
locations, I decided to kick off the RaceDAC-project, and chose to continue
negotiations with Mitelko protoshop.
Mitelko is located in Jyväskylä, Finland. The protoshop owner, Tuomo Korkolainen has done a long professional career working with electronics. And it came immediately clear that he was a true pro and truly understood all the aspects which was related to this project. So RaceDAC RnD was in very good hands from the very beginning.
Also, at the same time; Marty Howard from MH-Motorsports, located in McCullers,
North Carolina, USA, contacted me and was willing to collaborate financially.
He already had very good experienses from RaceChrono/ RaceChrono laptimers, and
also his customers were asking if there were any suitable dataloggers or
data acquisition modules available for RaceChrono.
May/ June 2011

June 2011

June/ July 2011

December 2011
So far so good. There has not been a single software bug or hardware failure
report/ complaint. And user testimonials has been positive.
January 2012
Customers had requested a couple of new features to the software. So a software
uppgrade was developed and released. Also some usability improvements were included
to the sw."

Thats the story so far, to be continued...
